The rest of the process mostly happens in the mitochondria, a-k-a the power house of a cell.This is important because during cellular respiration, lots of chemical reactions are happening in the inner membrane to convert glucose into ATP. So your cells already used the glucose from the food you consume and made some ATP, but the rest of the food is basically useless to your body.
