character, plot, point of view, setting, style, and theme

Hm... 6 elements in a novel. So these 6 must be the big things that we notice right? Now there are different elements for a fiction novel compared to a non-fiction (aka: real story) novel.

The six major elements of fiction are:

character, plot, point of view, setting, style, and theme.

Now non-fiction has many of the same elements, but it is different:

character, setting, plot, conflict, figurative language, and theme

A fictional story is mainly called fiction because pf the lack of proof supporting that it happened.
