the perimeter of a rectangle is twice the sum of its length and its width. The perimeter is 34 meters and it’s length is 2 meters more than twice it’s width.

Respuesta :

Here is your answer

Let the widht of rectangle be x metres

Then, its length= x+2 metres

Perimeter= 2 (l+b)

=> 34 = 2 (x+2 + x)

=> 34/2 = 2x+2

=> 17= 2x+2

=> 2x= 17-2

=> x = 15/2 metres

Width= 15/2 metres

Length= 15/2 + 2

= 19/2 metres
