Please help, I need this answer ASAP. Bill and his dad are building a deck on the back of their house. The scale on the building plan is 1 in. = 4 ft. If the length of the deck on the plan is 3.5 in., how long will the actual deck be?
Every one inch is four feet so, 2 inches is 8 feet, 3 inches is 12 feet, and 3.5 inches is 14. Since it is 3.5 inches you only add two feet because half of f is two.
