Hospitals didn't suffer

Question: Which industry did not suffer during great depression?

Answer: The movie industry/The film industry.

Explanation: In 1929  global economy hit bottom, prompting mass unemployment and bankrupting millions of people, years of hardship and even suicides. However, Hollywood entered a golden age. The advent of talking pictures helped re-energize people and the medium. Between 60 and 80 million Americans went to the movies at least once a week. During those  years, an American movie ticket would include a cartoon, a newsreel, a B-feature and the main film, which amounted to something like four hours' entertainment for a nickel. This was something that people would enjoy during years of hardship.
