The Maori People are the first civilization to inhabit what is now New Zealand. They originally come from Polynesia in Southeast Asia.
The Haida People are the first civilization to live in the area comprised of the Alaskan Archipelago all the way to Vancouver Island in what is now British Columbia.
Both of these cultures feature performing arts related to warfare. The Maori are the creators of the famous Haka dance, which is used by the New Zealand Rugby Team prior to each match.
