Rise over run is where you connect the 2 points on the graph so it looks like a triangle and then find slope. #1 as an example:

#1 You draw a line from (-2,-1) to (6,3). This is RUN

#2 Then draw a line from (6,3) to (4,2). This is RISE

#3 You count how many units (the squares) are along the line. So 6 for X and 3 for Y

#4 The equation to find slope is

#5 So 3/6=1/2

Slope=1/2
