We can conclude that the maya were polytheistic because: A. The popol vuh mentions several deities who worked together to create earth. B. Stone tablets from maya archaeologist sites depict the life cycles of multiple gods. C. Pyramids at Teotihuacán are inscribed with the names of several gods and goddesses. D. Their religion derived from the Aztec religion, which was polytheistic.

Respuesta :

I think  the answer is A

It is not the stones that provided the evidence for the Mayan religion. Even if pyramids had such inscriptions of option B, they would most likely be inconclusive. And saying that the religion derived from another does not mean that it keeps all its characteristics.

But The Popol Vuh certainly refers to many different gods creating the earth. Already during its first part, the Popol Vuh describes how the ‘gods’ raise valleys and mountains from the primordial sea and create plants and animals.

The correct answer is:

A. The popol vuh mentions several deities who worked together to create earth
