Its biggest impacts were geological, political, and economic. Best of luck!

The transcontinental railroad moved a lot of people which means many people invested in tickets which helps the economy as well as the towns that people went to and bought things from or services from. Later on things from California were transported which were things such as lumber, glass and fruits etc. The railroad decreased the amount of time that it took to transport goods and increased the amount of goods that were transported, this help the economy of every place that was involved with the railroad. The railroad also made all of the people who worked in the fossil fuel industry profit greatly.

Their were no good responses so here ya go hope this helps! =)
