Get a green card. You need this to establish your permanent residency. You have to be 18 years old and have five years of continuous residency. Then you have to file a US Citizenship Application and turn it in in.
Naturalization is the act and legal process of a foreign person becoming a U.S citizen. An applicant for naturalization must be 18+ , a lawful permanent resident of the US for at least 5 years before applying, able to speak and understand English, and you must have a good character. You must also take many tests, application forms and interview. These tests and forms will require you to be fingerprinted, take an English and civics test, an Oath of allegiance, and be questioned about your background.
