The answer is D. Camila says the final production needs to be good, which increases the tension. However, the visiting representative is satisfied with the simple skit Benito organizes.
In the story, Benito only took the job as a camp counselor to do his favorite cousin a favor and to make some extra money in order to buy himself a new computer. But, on his very first day, he realizes kids don’t stay focused for a long period of time, running around uncontrollably. When Camila tells him a representative will come to watch the play Benito is supposed to organize and have the kids do by the end of two weeks, he feels pressured and insecure, given his poor skills in dealing with the children.
However, on the day before the one when the play is supposed to be performed, one of the little girls asks Benito to teach her how to whistle. That catches the other kids’ attention and they all seem eager to be able to whistle as well. Benito decides to have them whistle for their skit. When the representative comes to talk to him, Benito acknowledges the simplicity of the play, to what the man replies, ‘You got them coordinated on a single task. They had fun. They gave a performance. What more do you expect from seven-year-olds?’
Finally, Benito is offered the job permanently. He does not hesitate and accepts it, feeling secure that he will know what to do with the groups of kids to come.
