The japanese religion of Shintō believes that Kami spirits could be found in nature objects, like elements of landscape, forces of nature, the sun, beings and so forth. Many Kami could be ancestors of clans or even great leaders, like Emperors. They are a manifestation of universe's energy and part of nature while also being examples for humanity.
