The tradition of the Cabinet dates back to the beginnings of the Presidency itself. Established in Article II, Section 2, of the Constitution, the Cabinet's role is to advise the President on any subject he may require relating to the duties of each member's respective office.

The cabinet can be described as a group that are selected by the president of a country that serve him by offering him advise.

Depending on the duty to which a cabinet member has been selected, his role to the president is to offer him advise on issues that concerns this duty.

The president is responsible for choosing the members of his cabinet at his own discretion. After the president has nominated them, they have to be confirmed by the senate before they can resume their roles.
