Nobody had any idea that this war would become the deadliest war in American history. It wasn’t a regular war, it was a civil war opposing the Union in the North and the Confederate States in the South.. The Civil War cost many people’s lives on the battlefield and beyond. In addition it cost an extreme amount of money for the nation which possibly could have been avoided if the war had turned to happen a little differently.
To start with, The Civil War lasted from 1861 until 1865 and became the deadliest war in United States’s history. This war was one composed of an enormous amount of battles fought all over the United States. The majority of the battles were fought in the Confederate States in the South. The most famous battles of the Civil War were the battles of Antietam, Vicksburg, Bull Run and Gettysburg. All the battles of the Civil war caused roughly 620,000 soldiers to die and 644,000 soldiers have died in all other conflicts of the nation. Therefore, the Civil War is by far the deadliest war in U.S. history. The civil war was fought during the years 1861-1865 and this civil was has turned out to be one of the deadliest wars of all time in the history of United States of America. Many soldiers and civilians have lost their lives during these four years.

The war was fought between the northern and the southern parts of United States of America. The major cause of the war was expansion of slavery of black people to the new territories acquired during Mexican-American War. These territories were acquired through Louisiana purchase.
Before that Americans used to kidnap black people and used them for slavery in sugarcane farms and in various other sectors. The blacks were treated miserably having no rights and freedom and has to work as slaves.
The war has cost United States the lives of around 620,000 soldiers and many other civilians. Apart from the lives , the war has incurred huge financial burden on the United States of America.
Therefore it can be concluded that the civil war has left a devastating impact on the United States Of America and cost lives of thousands of innocent people over the dispute of expanding slavery to new territories.
