14 boys and 29 girls. The way I figured it out is I tried thinking of a number that could be multiplied by 2 and added to the original number and I got 14, and doing the math, 14 times 2 is 28, and 28 plus 14 is 42, and 42 plus 1 is 43.
You can do this to help you too. Make an equation. For example I made this: X + 1 +2X = 43. X is the unknown or variable. Then X+2X = 3X. Then subtract 1 from both sides then you should get 3X = 42 Next you want to divide 42 by 3 to get you your 14. Then do 14 times 2 which is 28 + 1. Hopefully this helped you.
