1) The way that amendments have affected Americans’ participation in government is by guaranteeing their rights and freedoms. For example the amendments Twenty Six: 18 year olds given the right to vote, Nineteenth: which gives women the equal voting rights as men, and Fifteen: which gives African-American males the right to vote.

2) I believe that there should be a change on amendment two and establish more conditions on this right. The reason for this is to protect more american lives from tragedies that can arise from a misconstructed interpretation of this right. If we place more conditions so that not anyone can have this right to bear arms, I believe it would have a positive impact in the United States.

3) I would chose the one about establishing more conditions to who can bear arms from amendment two. The title of this amendment could be called Gun Control. This amendment will place specific conditions regarding the people who can get their hands on guns to have in their homes. For example go through a background check. Those who will benefit the most will be the people with the intention to bear arms in order to protect themselves and their loved ones because they won't have a problem when they have a background check and it comes out clean.

4) The process that this amendment would have to follow in order for it to become a law is to first propose this amendment to Congress and then it has to be accepted or ratified by 2/3 of the house and senate approve of the proposal and send it to the states for a vote. Then, 3/4s of the states must affirm the proposed amendment.

5) It is difficult because it has to go through a lot of places before it is established. But it is very important to the nation because it gives us the people the power and opportunity to change it if the circumstances call for it.
