Discussion :
By "output" I presume one means as displayed by a graphing calculator. In that case, the equation has "x" to the first power so it is line. But the slope of this line (the coefficient preceding the x term) is -4. That means the line is descending as x values increase. Also, when x = 0, the y value of the line is
3 - 4(0) = 3. In summary, the line passes through the point (0,3)
