p53 is a protein that functions to block the cell cycle if DNA is damaged. If the damage is severe this protein can cause cell death. If there is a mutation in the p53 protein, we might expect what to happen? All BUT ONE could apply.

Respuesta :

we would expect mutations in DNA is allowed to replicate rather than being fixed or result in the cell becoming a senescent cell by being put in G0. If the mutations speed up the replication of cells, cause the cell to become resistant to apoptosis or might cause more mutations then cancer will likely be the end result.

Hope that helped
