1. Well the product of 1/15 and 1/16 means you need to multiply 1/15 and 1/16
1/15 * 1/16 = 1/15*16= 1/240
When they ask for the opposite of a fraction, they mean the reciprocal. A reciprocal of a fraction basically means that the fraction is flipped. For example: 1/2=2/1
The reciprocal of 1/240=240/1=240
I believe the answer to the first question would then be 240!
2. Whenever a question asks for the quotient of something, they want you to divide. I always find it easier to change decimals into fractions: 4.9= 4 9/10=49/10 and 3.5= 3 1/2=7/2
49/10 divided by 7/2:
49/10*2/7=98/70. The opposite of that would be the reciprocal of 98/70 (once again!), which is 70/98
The answer the question two is 70/98, according to my calculations!
