The graph below shows the prices of different numbers of sunglasses at a store Which equation can be used to determine p the cost of s sunglasses haha help class=

Respuesta :

we can see that

curve is a straight line

y-axis is price(p)

x-axis is number of glasses (x)

so, firstly we will find slope

we can select any two points

(0,0) and (2,9)

x1=0, y1=0 , x2=2 , y2=9

[tex]m=\frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}[/tex]

now, we can plug values

[tex]m=\frac{9-0}{2-0}[/tex]

[tex]m=\frac{9}{2}[/tex]

now, we can use point slope form of equation

[tex]y-y_1=m(x-x_1)[/tex]

so, we can plug it

[tex]y-0=\frac{9}{2}(x-0)[/tex]

[tex]y=\frac{9}{2}x[/tex]

now, y is p

so, we get our equation as

[tex]p=\frac{9}{2}x[/tex]................Answer
