1. To plot x<-0.9 on the number line, you have first to draw a circle over the number x=-0.9. The sign of inequality does not include equal to, then leave the circle unfilled in. Finally, draw a line going from the circle in the direction of the numbers that make the inequality true. In this case you have to draw the line in negative direction.

2. To plot x≥1.1 on the number line, you have first to draw a circle over the number x=1.1. The sign of inequality includes sign equal to, then fill in the circle. Finally, draw a line going from the circle in the direction of the numbers that make the inequality true. In this case you have to draw the line in positivetive direction.

3. All points with x < -0.9 or x ≥ 1.1 are shown on the added diagram.
