Lost of sodium or hyponatremia is a condition that occurs when the concentration of sodium in the blood is low. The symptoms of hyponatremia tend to be neurologic so Leonard’s mother may complain of with headache, nausea and vomiting, lethargy, and confusion. If the sodium concentration drops quickly to critical levels, seizures and coma might also happen.
