The character 也 is usually used after the subject of a sentence from what I learned. It is more like answering the same as the other. Like for example the first person says 我喜欢吃早饭。( I like to eat breakfast.) then the second person said 我也喜欢吃早饭。( I also like to eat breakfast./I like to eat breakfast too.)
