A U.S historian should study Americas, African and European history before 1500 because people came together and changed North America. There was the development of major world religions before 1600, and it's during the Ice Age period Nomads made their way from Asia to North America. Over time these Nomads developed distinct cultures and built great civilizations. The Paleo-Indians traveled South into Canada, the U.S, Mexico following herds of animals. The early people moved to North and South America and developed societies.

By 1500 African trade became essential to the kingdoms of West Africa since early times, Berbers from the North controlled the Salt and Gold trade among the great African empires of Ghana, Mali, and Songhai.

In Europe by 1500 cities were shaped by centuries of civilizations and cultural developments. Significant contributions were those by Greeks and Roman civilizations, the middle ages, and the Renaissance were substantial forces that shaped European history.
