Further Explanation:

The political system in United States during the period of late 1900’s is said to be the era of corruption and that is because of some reasons. The primary reason for that was the use of Urban Political Machines and the people who used to run those during that period of time. During this period, Migration in America from other countries was at peak and the political people used this in their favor as they used to lure immigrants by giving them promises of business contracts, government jobs and money in exchange of votes from those immigrants. Many cities of United States such as Boston, Chicago, Kansas and even Capital of United States- New York were accused of using these political machines in their favor. Each city had one hierarchical system which had a “Boss” who used to work as a bridge between political parties and local business leaders or traders. These Bosses knew how to use political machines in their favor and when to push the ‘Right Button’ in order to get their things done. The powers of these machines were based on their ability to get votes for their candidates on the day of voting and this phenomenon was common in almost all the parties.
