Give coordinates for the vertices of a triangle that could have an area of 35 square units. Prove that your triangle fits the description by finding its area

Respuesta :

Well,

I'll use a right triangle in Quadrant I.  It will have a height of 7 units and a base of 10 units.  This will be accomplished by having coordinates at (0,0),(0,7), and (10,0).  The graph is attached below.

Since its base is 10 and its height is 7, the area is 10 * 7 * 0.5 = 35.
