India was a British colony for about 190 years (1757 to 1947). Thus, as a British colony, British culture in sports would understandably be inherited by its colony, considering how many years it has been under British rule. These sports would’ve been introduced to Pakistan too as Pakistan was founded when India became independent from British rule.
