The histogram and stem-and-leaf plot both show the same data for points scored in a game.

Compare and contrast the two representations describing what different aspects of the data they show.

Respuesta :

The first graph only showed the frequency of a single score range. The 2nd one shows both the frequency of the range and the exact scores

Answer:

Firstly, the histogram shows the " Number of Shoppers", the stem and leaf plot does show it too but it is a lot easier to read it on the histogram. Because in the stem and leaf plot you have to count all the numbers in that row but in the histogram, it shows it right there already. On the other hand, the stem and leaf plot shows more information than the histogram. It shows the exact value of each individual data point              whereas in the histogram there is no way of finding the exact value points. So because of the use of intervals, in the histogram, it prevents the calculation of an exact measure of central tendency.
