Photovoltaic panels are by default not very beautiful structures.
A well-finished installation with respect to the building's original aesthetics and characteristics (prior to installation) is much more expensive than a more rustic installation with more apparent equipment (switchboards, ducts, etc.).
In very cheap services, it is common to think only of the shortest cabling distances, which can mean a “large piece of pipe” (the conduit) right in the middle of a beautiful green wall (or whatever color, I just remember one horrendous thing I saw recently).
Those who are not so concerned about “aesthetic beauty” can save up to a few hundred dollars.
