There are 16 ounces in a pound. If each one weighs 5 ounces, it would be 5/16 of a pound. This would be 5/16 of $1.5, which is about 0.47. If we multiply this by 24 oranges, we get a cost 11.28, which is more than $9.

B / No you cannot. If 1 orange is 5 ounces, 24 oranges all together is 7.5 pounds. Since its 2 pounds for 3 dollars, you could get 6 pounds out of the 7.5 and that would be 9 dollars. But you would have 1.5 pounds left.
