One choice is B for sure, but as for the second choice a good guess would be C.
I did not choose A because the exotic pet trade eliminates biodiversity in the animals native enviroments. This is because the animals are being taken away from their homes stripping the enviroment of it's diverse range of species. I did not choose D because the exotic pet trade is limiting the biodiversity of these animals native habitats and lowering the number of that species in the native enviroment. It would make no sense that there would be an increased chance that a wild lizard or spider would find an unrelated mate if there aren't that many lizards or spiders to begin with. I hope this helped!
The two possible effects this action can have on biodiversity include:
- Populations of these animals could decrease in the wild.
- It could increase competition among predators of these organisms.
What is Biodiversity?
This refers to the variability of plant and animal life present at a given period of time.
Effects of selling pets in the wild include the factors which are mentioned above.
