Since we have the values of one point and the slope, we can graph that point and then, by using the slope, graph another point, and then have our line.
The first step is to draw (5, -4) on the coordinate plane. Now we can use the slope to help us figure out a second point.
The slope -3 says that for every -3 that we go up (for every 3 we go down), we go 1 to the right. So, we can subtract 3 from the y coordinate of our point (go down 3), and we can also add one to the x coordinate of our point (right 1).
