There are 60 red beans.
If you create variables, the problem will be easier to solve.

red beans = r
green beans = g

They have the ratio of 5:3, means in every 8 jelly there is 5 green jelly and 3 red jelly.

There is 160 jelly so, we want to find how many of those 8s in 160.
[tex]160 = 8x[/tex]
Divide by 8:
[tex]x = 20[/tex]
There are 20 of those 8s or 20 5 green beans and 20 3 red beans.

Green beans:
[tex]20 \times 5 = 100[/tex]
Red beans:
[tex]20 \times 3 = 60[/tex]
