- The US Anthem explains more about how our flag was still standing for our cause whereas the French Anthem shows more rage and hatred for its oppressors.
- The US song relates the story from the perspective of an American lawyer, whereas the French anthem appears to tell it from the perspective of a soldier.
- The US Anthem was inspired by the American triumph at Fort McHenry following a 25-hour bombardment, whilst the French Anthem was inspired by the call for a song to inspire the soldiers.
- Because it describes what they were fighting for and their anger toward their oppressors, and because it vehemently expresses their opinions and thoughts as well as their patriotism for their nation, I believe that the French Anthem accurately captures the spirit of the French Revolution.
- It also served to inspire the soldiers during trying times.
- The US Anthem, in my opinion, accurately captures the spirit of the American Revolution since it describes the causes for which we fought, conveys the situation, and highlights the troops' patriotism.
