i’ve come across this question as well. since the action force was -3 the reaction force will be 3. since the net force has to add up to 0
The action force is the balloon pushing the air out is equal to the magnitude of the reaction force of the air pushing on the balloon
What is Newton's third law of motion?
Newton's third law of motion explains that forces exist in pairs. It states that for every action force there exist equal and opposite reaction force, these pairs of forces are equal in magnitude but opposite in direction.
When action force is the balloon pushing the air out. the magnitude of the reaction force of the air pushing on the balloon will be the same as the active force but opposite in direction.
