A stars temperature influences the color of the star. The hotter the star is the brighter it will shine and be more visible from a greater distance. For example lets say our sun in our galaxy "Milky-way" if we look up to the sky the sun is visible and it sends off heat millions of miles away meaning its temperature is very hot, but if another person was on "Neptune" the sun would be less visible and it is way colder on Neptune than on Earth explaining how the temperature affects the visibility and color of a star.
