Lab work. Which rna nucleotide can pair with the thymine at the beginning of the strand? Drag it into the DNA antisense strand to make a pair.

Respuesta :

tymine (t) can only pair with (a) in a dna strand.  And the other letters which are G and C can only pair with each other.  So A can be with T, T can be with A..... G can be with C and C can be with G.
the letters stand for:
A: adenine
G: guanine
C: cytosine

Answer:

The thymine nucleotide exists only in DNA and can pair with adenine. In RNA, adenine only matches uracil.

Explanation:

As we know, DNa and RNA are nucleic acids present in cells and are responsible for heredity, where the physiological characteristics of parents are passed on to children.

Both DNA and RNA are made up of nucleotides, a sugar and a phosphate group. The nucleotides are complementary, that is, they form pairs among themselves.

The nucleotides are Adenine, Thymine, Cytosine, Guanine and Uracil (which is only present in RNA). Timine was paired with Adenine in DNA, however, there is no Timine in RNA, so adenine is complementary to Uracil, in DNA.
