The Progressive Party supported the following reforms:
1) Giving women the ability to vote- When the Progressive Party was formed in 1912, women still did not have the right to vote.
2) Allowing citizens to directly vote for their Senators- Before the 17th amendment, senators were picked by the state legislature.
3) Federal income tax- This would allow the federal government to generate revenue. This revenue could then be used for social programs that could help individuals/families in American society.
