I dont know what  ketogenic or glucogenic is.

The molecules on the left are amino acids that are catabolized, these molecules are glucogenic.

What are amino acids?

Amino acids are macromolecules. They are made up of an amine group and a carboxylic group. They are the basic molecules to make proteins. There are 20 types of amino acid are present.

The kind of intermediates that are produced during the catabolism of a certain molecule determines whether it is referred to as "glucogenic" or "ketogenic."

If the molecules are ketone body precursors, the state is referred to as ketogenic:

  • Both acetyl-CoA and acetoacetate are ketogenic.
  • The molecules are referred to as glucogenic if they are the building blocks of glucose bodies.
  • Oxaloacetate and phosphoenolpyruvate are both glucogenic substances.

Thus, the molecules on the left are glucogenic.
