Kidneys for transplant can come from a living or a cadaver. Nephrectomy is the surgical removal of one or both kidneys. It is done by removing a healthy kidney from what you call a donor.They are usually to treat kidney diseases and injuries.
The following are the checklist of surgical techniques that must be checked for a live donor kidney transplant:
- Age < 18 years except if a liberated minor
- Wild hypertension
- History of pneumonic embolism or repetitive thrombosis
- Bleeding issue
- Wild mental sickness
- High rate of obesity
- Wild cardiovascular infection
- Chronic lung infection with disability of oxygenation or ventilation
- History of melanoma
- History of metastatic disease
- Two-sided or repetitive nephrolithiasis (kidney stones)

- Proteinuria > 300 mg/d barring postural proteinuria
- HIV contamination
