Yes. In a desert, which mostly is sand, insects, and animals, there are mostly carnivores. Carnivores are animals that eat meat. there is little vegetation in deserts because of the dry soil and lack of rain.
No, thee must be a balance between the two. Too many carnivores mean the herbivores will be hunted way r quickly and will die off, however way to many herbivores means the grass and plant supply will run out. If the two aren't balanced properly the ecosystem will be out of balance.
