shes going to be a freshman in highschool? Well for starters, I would recommend to focus more on grades then anything, If she wants to attend a UC she should always keep her gpa, over a 3.5 and above, although most colleges like 4.0's, with the addition, of extracurricular, such as clubs, volunteer hours, and other activities that make you stand out as a student, you can still be accepted with a 3.4, or 3.5, to a well reputed UC, filing out a fasfa wouldnt make any sense right now as shes going to be a freshmen, not a senior, and Sat, and acts are taken as a junior, although she can take the Psat, as a sophmore and junior as practice for those tests, she just has to make sure that she does not procrastinate as gpa is vital to attending a well reputed colleg, such as UC's or even prestige schools, most will not accept somone under 4.0 unless they stand out, freshmen year isnt vital, as the following years are, junior year should be her biggest focus, as thats the last year that shows before she will apply for college, if she applys as a senior, she should enjoy yer years as a freshmen and sophmore, while striving for goog grades, as they will pass, and you will be stressed your junior year, good luck !
