Paragraph 1: Delivery room-Lina Medina
Starting: Everyone was ready to assist little Lina as she got ready to deliver her baby at 5 years old.
Case happened in 1939:
In anguish as she delivered her baby
Birth Pangs:
* Stomach ache terribly- cry
* Throbbing pain comes in and out like a wave of the sea- groan
* Contraction with stabs of sharp pains came over her
* Throes of anguish- scream
* Cramps on her legs
* Experiencing convulsions as wave after wave of pain engulf her small frame
* She was frightened
* Terrified at the unknown
* She held on to her mother's fingers tightly until they hurt
* Her mother winced in pain
Ending: Everyone wanted to know- who had impregnated her?
Para 2: Background info
Starting: Her mother started suspecting her husband because of a few things that she noticed.
* 5 years old/Impregnated but kept mum about who did it.
* Police suspected the husband her father - but there was no proof
* Sometimes Lina is happy playing with her doll / sometimes she would pout - having to care for the child when she was a child herself
Suspicious of her husband:
* Doubtful
* Mistrust
* Disbelieving
* Wary
Lina:
* Avoids sitting on the lap of the father to read a book
* Avoid eye-contact
* TV- sit in middle- refuses to sit next to him prefers another chair
The father
* Whenever talk about Lina's birthing, husband will change the subject / not want to engage in the talk
* Insisting to hug Lina after he comes back from work. Gets angry and scolds Lina Lina would cry
* He never did this before
* Had a drinking problem
Ending: His wife knew his drinking problem would land him in hot soup.
Para 3: The rest of Lina's story
Starting: Lina's child contracted a lung illness and died.
* Child died of a lung illness at 40.
She married and had other children.
She lived to 83.
She still did not reveal who the father

* took her secret to the grave / Till today, no one knows who the perpetrator was.
30 years later /land rebuilt /dug up/saw the box
* Did not divulge who did it
* She held back even when they forced her to tell who did it.
* Was she sworn to secrecy?
* Perpetrator (guilty person) - Cloak-and-dagger behaviour= hiding a secret
* Perhaps he threatened to kill her mother
Ending: I was handed a diary that came in a box which said, "Do not open." After I read who Lina named as the father of her child, I closed the diary and tossed it into a furnace.
