How do I find if the asymptote diverges to infinity or negative infinity given that the multiplicity is even (so the limit exists). In the attached image, the multiplicity is the same (and "a" coeffecient is positive on both sides), but it seems that the limits are positive and negative infinity. Is there a rule to tell, or do I have to just plug in numbers close to the asymptote to figure it out?
