Determination of ÄTcontents You may find it useful to review the Excel guide at the start of the laboratory manual. To determine ÄTcontents you must first create a graph of Temperature (y-axis) versus time (x- axis). For the first run of Part I of the experiment, enter your data into an Excel spreadsheet using one column for time and a second column for temperature (in Celsius). In a third column convert the temperature to Kelvin. To create the graph, first ensure no data are selected or highlighted. Next, choose the "Insert" tab and in the "charts" area click "insert scatter (X,Y) or bubble chart" and choose "scatter". Click "select data" and "Add" under "Legend Entries (Series)." You can give the series a name (e.g., "Before mixing") then choose the X values (time). Choose the values of time up to the time of mixing. Next, choose the corresponding Y values (the temperatures in Kelvin). Click "OK". In a similar way, add a new series for the temperature vs. time data for the period aftermixing. Do not include in this second series any (time, temperature) data for which the temperature is changing rapidly. Once both series have been added, click "OK".
