Part 1: Avogadro Constant
Directions:
Be sure the tab for AVOGADRO CONSTANT is selected.
The scoop size can be adjusted to add bigger or smaller amounts of substance by using the
EXPONENT SLIDER.
Procedure & Data
1. Select Copper (Cu).
2. Add atoms to the larger balance until it registers the same number (in g) as the reading on the
nano-balance (in u). Use the Exponent slider to help get the correct amount. Stop adding atoms when
the readings on both balances match exactly (to the nearest 0.001 g).
3. Report your data below:
