She gave me a curious look. "Just how do you picture
your school in Washington, P.A.?" she asked.
Well, I knew exactly what it would be like, so I told her:
I'd be an American in a class with nothing but Americans
in it. When we fought the American Revolution, we'd all
fight on the same side. When we sang "My country 'tis of
thee," we'd yell our heads off. We'd all be the same. I
would belong.
