alphabet. There is no consistency in how words containing such letters are considered
when sorting into alphabetical order. For example, an à could be placed in four positions
according to different nation styles. It could be found:
as just 'a' without dots (American style)
as two characters a (German style)

as a separate character between 'a' and 'b' (Austrian style)
as a character after 'z' with extra letters in the order ääö (Swedish style).
A particular computer program has sorted a list of words using one of the above styles, but
we do not know which one.
